Advertising banners for business
Advertising banners help people spot your shop, event or organisation from a distance. Start with the location, then choose a suitable display and clear message. Our usual PVC price example is 6 × 2ft on 440gsm material.

Questions before you order
What size banner do I need?
Measure the available width and height before choosing a layout. Our usual price example is 6 × 2ft. Party banners offer four presets: 3 × 1ft, 4 × 2ft, 6 × 2ft and 8 × 2ft. Standard business banners can use the active custom dimensions in the configurator. Leave space for safe fixing points.
What file format should my artwork be?
For print-ready artwork, upload PDF, AI, EPS, PSD, PNG, JPG, TIFF, SVG or WebP up to 200MB per file. Check the finished dimensions and keep important wording away from hems and eyelets. Follow the artwork guide for bleed and safe areas.
When will I see my design proof?
Design-service proofs are supplied within 12 elapsed hours. Check names, dates, spelling and layout before approving, because printing starts only after artwork approval. The personalised builder also produces a final print preview for your approval before you add the banner to your basket. Changing that design requires a fresh final preview.
Can I order today and receive my banner tomorrow?
Next-day arrival depends on the accepted job, artwork approval, postcode and courier service. The dispatch cut-off is 7.00pm UK time on working days, after artwork approval. Design proofs are supplied within 12 elapsed hours, which is separate from delivery. Check the estimate before ordering and allow extra time for weekends and bank holidays.
Do you deliver outside Yorkshire?
Free shipping is available in eligible delivery zones with a 3–4 working-day expected turnaround. Standard is 2–3 working days and Next Day is 1 working day expected. Paid service charges are shown before checkout. Timings start after artwork approval by 7.00pm and exclude weekends and bank holidays.
Choosing advertising banners for business
Start with the display position, not the design. Measure the usable area between fixing points and note any obstructions, doors or signs. A banner that covers an entire fence panel can still be unsuitable if it hides an entrance or catches more wind than the fence can safely carry. Ask the responsible person to approve the support and installation before ordering.
PVC provides a solid print surface for strong lettering, photography and logos. That does not give the display a guaranteed wind rating.
Choose a message that matches the viewing distance. A shop-front display usually needs one main offer and a clear business identity. An event entrance needs the destination and direction. A school open-day banner needs the date and access information. Reduce your design on screen to check the hierarchy: if everything competes for attention, remove secondary wording rather than making every element smaller.
Prepare artwork at the actual finished size and keep essential text clear of hems, eyelets and hanging allowances. Hardware and specialist products need their exact production template. Use original logos and sufficiently detailed photographs. A proof is your chance to check content, dimensions and layout before printing; it is not a structural approval for the installation.
Plan the full route from artwork to display. Design proofs are promised within twelve elapsed hours, and production begins after approval. The working-day dispatch cut-off is 7.00pm UK time. Allow for the accepted production specification, courier transit and installation time. Inspect a reusable banner and its fixings before every campaign, store it clean and dry, and update any wording that no longer reflects the event or offer.
Plan the message before choosing the finished size. A passing customer has only a brief moment to understand a sale, opening date or entrance sign. Give the main point the largest type, place supporting information underneath and use colour contrast that remains clear in daylight. A photograph can add context, but avoid letting it compete with the words. Preview the design at a smaller scale to check which element catches your eye first.
Choose the fixing location with the person responsible for the property. Measure the available span, check the supporting structure and leave room to attach the banner correctly. A sheltered wall, exposed fence and scaffolded frontage each need a different assessment.
Compare prices using the complete specification. Start with the same finished dimensions, material, printed sides, finishing and quantity. The usual 6 × 2ft example on this site is one standard banner, with delivery and optional services shown separately. Custom dimensions without a matching grid cell use the configured area rate.
Think about reuse when writing the message. A dated opening banner has a short purpose, while a general welcome or directional display may be useful at future events. Store reusable prints clean and dry, rolled rather than sharply folded, and inspect their edges before the next installation. If a promotion changes regularly, keep essential information prominent and check the new design just as carefully as the original. Approval should cover wording, dimensions and the intended fixing method.
